A global scientific perspective
On 3 September 2023, Professor Konstantin Novoselov — Nobel Laureate in Physics, co-discoverer of graphene and Professor at the University of Manchester — visited Rayhope’s technology museum and intelligent manufacturing facility. He was welcomed by Rayhope Chairman Zhang Weixing and researcher Sun Qijun of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The complete carbon material chain
Professor Novoselov toured Rayhope’s graphite and graphene material exhibition centre, viewing natural graphite from the Xixia mining area and the company’s integrated pathway from natural graphite resources to advanced processing, graphene materials and innovative applications. At the manufacturing facility he explored functional wall coatings and infrared heating technologies.
Recognition from a global leader
Following the visit, Professor Novoselov shared a positive impression, commenting that Rayhope’s technology centre represented the kind of integrated platform he hoped to see — combining scientific innovation, industrial capability and practical applications.

Advancing through collaboration
Rayhope Group continues to support the development and standardisation of the graphene materials industry. Two Jiangsu provincial standards involving Rayhope’s participation in drafting took effect in November 2022:
- DB32/T 4379-2022 — Determination of Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy for Graphene Oxide Materials
- DB32/T 4378-2022 — Non-destructive Measurement of Sheet Resistance of Nano- and Submicron-scale Thin Films Using the Four-Probe Method
Reliable methods for material evaluation
DB32/T 4379-2022 is among the first standardised approaches for graphene-oxide infrared analysis in China, offering a simple, cost-effective method that supports real-time analysis, process optimisation and quality control. DB32/T 4378-2022 defines requirements for non-destructive sheet-resistance measurement, guiding the development and commercialisation of advanced thin-film technologies.
A more reliable ecosystem
Through active involvement in standard development, Rayhope aims to promote greater consistency, reliability and innovation across the graphene materials sector.

A new production facility
At 9:00 a.m. on 11 April 2022, Rayhope Technology Group held the commissioning ceremony for the Rayhope Graphene Industrial Base and New Materials Production Line at the Fengquan District Industrial Cluster in Xinxiang City. Listed among Henan Province’s key projects for 2022, the project drew district officials and congratulations from around 60 partner organisations in China and overseas.
Verified performance
Rayhope’s proprietary formaldehyde-removing interior wall covering, tested by the National Quality Supervision and Inspection Testing Centre, achieved up to 94% formaldehyde purification efficiency and up to 80% sustained efficiency — around 20% higher than the national standard. First-phase products, including graphene coatings and electric heating films, are state-promoted green, energy-saving building materials.
Scaling up
Executive Director Zhang Weixing announced that the first-phase graphene new-materials line, with an annual capacity of 50,000 tonnes, had officially begun operation, with a graphene electric heating film line (one million square metres per year) to follow. Once operational, the heating-film line is expected to cut heating-related carbon emissions by about 120,600 tonnes per year, supporting China’s dual-carbon goals.
